What Is PNOE Metabolic Testing:
PNOE metabolic testing is a non-invasive method that analyzes how efficiently your body uses oxygen and burns calories during rest and exercise.  It provides personalized insights into your metabolism, fitness level, and overall health, helping you optimize your nutrition and excercise plans.  This testing is suitable for individuals of all fitness levels and can help with weight management, athletic performance, and understanding metabolic health.  
 
How PNOE Metabolic Testing Works:

 PNOE Metabolic testing process begins with a simple setup involving a mask and analyzer. You’ll then perform activities like resting and light exercise while the system collects data.  Resting Test (RMR) measures metabolic rate while you sit or lie still.  Excercise Test (AMR) assesses how your body responds to physical activity, typically on a treadmill or stationary bike.  The testing usually takes 20-30 minutes. Afterward, you’ll receive a detailed report outlining your metabolic profile and recommendations.

 

What it measures:

  • Oxygen Intake:  How much oxygen you breath in.

  • Carbon Dioxide Output:  How much carbon dioxide you exhale.

  • Airflow Patterns:  The efficiency of your breathing.

Biomakers analyzed:

PNOE testing evaluates over 23 biomakers, including:

  • Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR):  Calories burned at rest.

  • VO2 Max:  maximum amount of oxygen the body can utilize during exercise, measured in milliliters of oxygen per kilogram of body weight per minute. It represents the efficiency of the heart, lungs, and cells in absorbing and using oxygen.

  • Fat-Burning Efficiency:  How well your body uses fat as fuel.

Preparation Guidelines:

  • Avoid strenuous exercise 24 hours before the test.

  • Fast for 4-6 hours prior , but you can drink water.

  • Wear comfortable clothing and arrive early for setup.​​
